What Is PROFHILO?
Profhilo is an injectable treatment composed of a very pure high concentrated hyaluronic acid. Unlike Botox which is used to relax muscles and filler used for volume and shape, Profhilo is designed to improve the overall quality and texture of your skin. Profhilo works by deeply hydrating skin and stimulating your own natural collagen and elastin production. Resulting in plump, smoother fine lines and wrinkles and boosted skin quality and texture.

How does PROFHILO Work?
Profhilo is composed of both high and low-weighted hyaluronic molecules in their most purest form. Profhilo in comparison to filler contains no cross-linkage agents which gives it a unique consistency that allows the product to spread evenly and easily through the skin tissue.

Once injected into the skin, Profhilo diffuses through each injection point, attracting and holding on to water for skin hydration and stimulating fibroblast production which encourages your own collagen and elastin production. Resulting in promoting and improving skins strength and structure.

How Many Treatments Do I need?
Profhilo requires you to have 2 treatments. The first treatment starts the hydration and collagen stimulating process. The second treatment occurs 4 weeks later and reinforces this process leading to more noticeable skin remodelling.

Maintenance treatments may be advised following assessment. Maintenance treatments can and may vary from 2-6months after receiving your initial 2 treatments.

What are the downtime and side effects like with PROFHILO?
There is no downtime with Profhilo, however it is advisable to avoid any alcohol, aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications 24 hours before treatment.
​
Immediately after treatment it is advised to avoid any forms of strenuous physical activity as well as saunas and spas for 24 hours. Make-up is also advised to avoid for that period of time.
​
Like any cosmetic injectable treatment side effects can occur. Such side effects are often localised and temporary and can cause mild pain, discomfort, redness, swelling or itching. Hardening of nodules may also appear at the injection site.

When will I expect to see results from PROFHILO?
Noticeable difference in skin hydration, skin elasticity and wrinkle severity can be seen after 2 treatments, carried out 30 days apart. Overall satisfaction to skin changes and improvements have been reported 8 weeks after first treatment session.
